Christmas on the LaHave

Bridgewater’s most magical time of year is just around the corner.

Christmas on the LaHave is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season. Mark your calendars because one of Bridgewater’s most cherished traditions is back for it 21st year, bringing festive fun, sparkling lights, and plenty of holiday cheer to the heart of our community!

Christmas Tree Lighting

November 27th, 6:30pm Pijinuiskaq Park Lookout

Kicking off the season on Friday, November 27th at the Pijinuiskaq Look-Off, the lighting of our community Christmas Tree, will be sure to fill your cup with the festive spirit (and not just due to Gow’s generously sponsored Hot Chocolate). Join our elves for caroling, special guests, and of course the unveiling of the town’s Christmas Tree.  This free family-friendly event is the perfect way to wrap up the week and step into the holiday season.

Michelin Bridgewater Parade of Lights

November 28, 6:00 p.m., High Street to Empire to King, ending at Dufferin Street
On Saturday November 28 as the sun sets, hats and mittens will be pulled on, and residents and visitors alike will line the streets in anticipation of the much-loved Michelin Parade of Lights, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the LaHave River.

The parade features illuminated floats, fire trucks, marching bands, festive characters, and even a pony or two. With so many twinkling lights, you might just think you’re at the North Pole! Once the last float goes by, don’t forget to keep an eye out for a very special guest in red.
